FAQ

Before the conversation.

Who it is for. Who it is not. Retainer versus mission. What to send. No dollar rate card — the shape is on Method.

Who is this for?
VPs and operators in American enterprise and growth-stage companies who already have a marketing function. Teams with a list, a platform, and a week that is not holding. Not a starter kit.
Who is this not for?
Companies shopping for a bench, a pitch team, a content mill, or a junior production studio. Founders who want a full-service agency costume. Anyone who needs a dollar rate card before they can name the constraint. If you want Nike-shaped logos on a wall, this is the wrong site.
Retainer or mission — how do you choose?
A stalled programme or a new stack is a diagnostic mission: four to eight weeks, architecture, a 90-day plan. A live channel that needs an operator is a retainer: six to twelve months on email or social. A team that wants a practice inside the function is embedded. Pretending one is the other is how programmes rot.
What happens in the first 30 days?
Access, the constraint named, a kill list, and the first operating week. Not a discovery deck. The first month is diagnose and install: who owns the week, which journeys or posts are theatre, which number the VP already believes. See Start a mission for the four-step shape.
Why a Casper, Wyoming LLC?
MBX CONSULTING MARKETING LLC is registered at 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000, Casper, Wyoming 82609, US. NAICS 541613 Marketing consulting services. The address is the legal home of the practice, not a claim about where the work is sat. English only.
Do you work with companies outside the United States?
The practice is built for American and English-speaking companies. The registered entity is a Wyoming LLC. Work is English only. If the function, the stack, and the week are in English, we can talk. If they are not, we cannot.
Email or social — or both?
Email is an operating system: calendar, journeys, deliverability, a number the business trusts. Social is an editorial seat: what ships, what never ships, a cadence a small team can hold. Missions sit across org and stack when the problem is the week, not the send. Many companies need one seat, not a bundle.
How does it start?
A conversation. Name, company, the mission, the team, the constraint, the 90-day outcome. Write hello@mbxconsult.com or use the form. There is no dollar rate card — the shape is the engagement model on Method. Start a mission lists what to send.
How do you treat confidentiality?
Selected work is anonymized by industry and channel. It does not name clients and is not an endorsement. Inquiries and working files stay inside the engagement. The practice does not keep a shadow calendar as leverage after handover. The operating system you leave is yours.
What should we send?
Team (who can change the week), stack (what you already pay for), constraint (what is broken or missing), and a 90-day outcome (what “held” would look like). Optional: last four weeks of calendar or the admission that there is none. Do not send a brand book as a substitute for the constraint.
How is this different from an agency or a freelancer?
A traditional agency sits beside the function, with a bench and an account layer. A freelancer is a person with no org seat and no designed ending. A practice sits in the week, one principal, platforms you already own, knowledge transfer as the point. Table C on Method spells it out. It is not priced there either.
Is there a rate card?
No dollar menu. Diagnostic mission, channel retainer, or embedded practice — length, seat, and what you leave with. If you need a PDF of packages, you are shopping for a different shape of firm.
